Happy Sunday! One of my favorite place to eat Mine Bouille! Food wise: 9/10 You have a large variety of curries like chicken, beef, crevette, seafood, saumom, lamb and many more for your boiled noodles (Mine Bouille) accompanied with salsa “Satini Pomme Damour", Queue de l’ail sauté, fried eggs or Roti Egg and lot more. It takes delicious, ensure to add a little of the broth "bouillon” to avoid sogginess! Dont forget the chilli for some spice! Service wise: 10/10 I love the fact that the owner is always smiling and attentive to each clients and suggest them what to add for the orders. Plus point for that! Atmosphere wise: The garden view is very cosy and chill. There are a lot of bonsai in there, you’ll love it! It’s really nice there! I highly recommend Chez Meung for your Mine Bouille stop!
Tasty Mauritian street food and friendly service. They take card, and there’s on street parking nearby
I had a fantastic dining experience at Chez Meung! The food was delicious, with fresh ingredients and perfectly balanced flavors. The service was warm and attentive, making us feel truly welcome. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal. I highly recommend trying their mine bouille salmi agneau (if you like spicy)—it was absolutely delightful! Can't wait to visit again!
The best Mine Frite (fried noodles) and Mine Bouille (noodle soup) I’ve had in Mauritius. So tasty! Super friendly service - in a chill laid back outdoor eating environment. Everything is delicious - toppings, dumplings, sauces. Thanks so much! I’ve already been there twice (lunch and dinner) and I’ll definitely be back.
Delicious noodles & boulettes with all the trimmings in a peaceful setting. It's a first come, first serve basis with no waiters. Be prepared to wait a little if there is a queue. It's worth the wait, as the food is fresh, delicious & served with a smile. Also great value for money!
very good place for noodles and boulettes. Each bowl is prepared in front of you so it's fresh and you can add or select what you want to include. A great choice of boulettes, we tried a bunch of different ones. The cheese is recommended but all were good. At lunch time there was a queue but it was normal. There is a seating area with shade so even if it's hot you can eat there. Parking can be tricky but just park in the street as it is a residential area. Recommend this place if you are in the north.
The best Chinese street food of the island if not the Indian ocean. You cannot afford to miss out on this place. Their recipes go back several generations. You must have boulettes and fried noodles at Meung. They deserve every review star they received. Michelin guide should give them a star for street food experience.
